Chanterêves
White WineChanterêves Bourgogne Blanc 2022
Domaine Chanterêves, run by Guillaume Bott and Tomoko Kuriyama in Savigny-lès-Beaune, has quickly gained recognition. Their exquisite wines are increasingly in demand, and with their limited production, only a tiny amount comes to Australia.
Guillaume honed his skills over seven years at Domaine Sauzet in Puligny-Montrachet before moving on to become the winemaker at the esteemed Domaine Simon Bize. Tomoko, similarly, brings a wealth of experience from her time at Weingut Georg Breuer in Germany’s Rheingau region. As Steen Ôhman noted, their wines reflect "German precision, Japanese attention to detail, and French expertise in terroir."
Certified organic, the Chanterêves wines are crafted using only older barrels, striving for purity, balance, and transparency. Those who prefer bigger, tannic, or heavily oaked wines may want to look elsewhere, but if you're in search of vibrant, refined, and lively wines, then these are quintessential Burgundy offerings.
