Bott Frigyes Olaszrizling 2022

Frigyes works his terraced vineyards along the Garam River in southern Slovakia, where volcanic bedrock meets loess and river sediments to create strikingly mineral wines. His 2022 Olaszrizling was hand-harvested from organically tended vines, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in a mix of oak and stainless steel. The wine rested on fine lees, building textural depth while retaining the crisp freshness that is a hallmark of the variety. Bright notes of orchard fruit and citrus zest are framed by subtle almond and a saline edge, finishing with clarity and length.
