Vanguardist Mourvèdre 2021

Sourced from Yangarra Estate, the Mourvèdre grapes are Biodynamic certified.

Last year's growing season in 2021 was practically idyllic, with intermittent rain occurring at just the right moments to keep the vines flourishing and the fruit in peak condition. Roughly 30% of the final wine incorporates whole bunches.

Drawing inspiration from the illustrious Mourvèdres of France's southwest, this wine's second edition lives up to the excitement generated by its 2020 predecessor. Located a mere few hundred meters from where our Vanguardist Grenache is cultivated, we've become staunch advocates for the potential of Mourvèdre within the Australian terroir.

Following the press, the wine matured for about 16 months in a singular French oak vat. It was then bottled as-is, foregoing any fining or filtration.
