Cobaw Ridge L'Altra 2024

Alan and Nelly Cooper have always done things their own way at Cobaw Ridge. Tucked high in the Macedon Ranges on granite soils, their small biodynamic vineyard has been the source of some of Victoria’s most distinctive cool-climate wines since the late ’80s. L’Altra – meaning “the other” – is their playful blend of Syrah and Pinot Noir, two varieties that thrive in this chilly, elevated site.

Rose pressings for the Syrah. A splash of free run Pinot Noir and Lagrein for colour. Fermenting in old oak. A wine made by Alan & Nelly not by the vineyard. Juicy and bright, delicious and designed to take a little bit of a chill.
