Jean-Luc Jamet Terrasses Côte Rôtie Rouge Syrah 2022

Jean-Luc Jamet began his career working with his older brother Jean-Paul at their family domaine in the Northern Rhône. After parting ways in 2013, Jean-Luc built a winery to vinify his half of the vineyards, all in the best areas of Côte-Rôtie and Côtes-du-Rhône. 

The Les Terasses cuvee is made from 10 vineyard plots, each on a steep slope in Côte-Rôtie. The ferments included 1/3 whole bunches, and the wine aged in no more than 20% new oak. This Syrah shows red and black berry fruit, cured meat, menthol and vegetal notes. Dense in structure with plush texture and lifted acidity, it's a compelling example of the perfume and complexity that Syrah can achieve in the Northern Rhône.
