Yarra Valley Organic Winegrower's Co-Operative
Red WineCO-OP Pinot Noir 2025
The Yarra Valley Organic Winegrowers Cooperative (or CO-OP) is a project between Doug Lilburne (Mise En Place Wines) and Alessandro Stefani. They're sharing knowledge and resources to promote and encourage regenerative and organic farming practices in the Yarra Valley.
This is the second vintage of their Pinot Noir. It's made from grapes grown organically at the Stefani vineyard in Healesville. The fermentation included 30 per cent whole clusters, and the wine aged in seasoned barriques for 9 months. It's slightly hazy in the glass, with lifted aromas of bright red fruits, fresh herbs, and a pleasant earthiness. The palate is light and pretty, with silty tannins, plenty of fruits and florals, and refreshing acidity.
