Malat Ried Satzen Sankt Laurent 2019

Originating from the Satzen single vineyard in the village of Furth, this St Laurent boasts vines with an average age of 45 years, deeply rooted in lime-enriched loess, clay, and Danube River gravel. It undergoes a natural fermentation process and matures in oak barrels, some of which are new, for a span of 18 months.

The scent reveals a bouquet of blackberry, cherry, and cassis, intertwined with subtle undertones of liquorice, verdant herbs, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it offers a medium-bodied profile, bursting with succulent red and black fruits. Its vivacious acidity, gentle tannins, and a concluding dry touch enriched with black fruit and mineral hints make for a harmonious experience.
