Lust for Life Gris 2022

Simon made this wine back in ‘22 when he worked the harvest for Gilbert Family Wines under the tutelage of the esteemed Will Gilbert. A ‘Romato’ style Pinot Gris from the Freeman Vineyard. 90% of the juice direct pressed into old barrels for ferment and was topped up with skin contact Gris to give it a pink, amber colour. Left on full ferment lees for around 10 months. Time in bottle has dialled up the complexity. Richly textured, peach fuzz and pink rock salt. Only 300L made.
