Fabio Gea Cul Otte 2021

Possibly made from Nebbiolo grapes (Fabio prefers not to specify), this wine comes from organically cultivated young vines in clay and limestone soils. While it could be classified as Barbaresco, the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo 2-3 weeks of maceration before spontaneous fermentation and aging in homemade porcelain and stoneware vessels. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, without additional SO2, in old Travaglini Gattinara bottles. The playful name, meaning 'underwear,' reflects Fabio's irreverence towards local bureaucracy, as he chooses to label his Nebbiolo as he pleases.
