Musk Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Sourced from the Glenwillow Vineyard in the Yandoit Hills, this Cabernet Sauvignon harkens back to older styles of claret — Musk lane says it's a Cab for Pinot Noir lovers. At only 12.6% alcohol, there's no blackcurrant cordial or jam here. Instead it shows lifted aromas, fresh acidity, and fine, soft tannins.

Fruit is picked early, and then spends 17 days on skins, with 30% whole bunches included in the ferment. On the nose, expect roasted green peppers, fresh black fruit, and a satisfying earthiness. Medium bodied, the palate shows depth, with aged notes of tobacco and subtle spice from maturation in seasoned oak, before finishing long and savoury.
