From the stony, sandy soils of the Sgarzon vineyard in Trentino’s Campo Rotaliano, this is one of the purest expressions of Teroldego. Elisabetta Foradori farms the site biodynamically and ferments the fruit spontaneously in clay amphorae, allowing the variety’s wild charm to shine. The 2023 vintage is lifted and dark-fruited, with notes of sour plum, blood orange, cracked pepper and alpine herbs. Amphora ageing softens the tannin and enhances a tactile, almost stony energy. A vivid, ferrous wine with a floral, bitter-edged finish and incredible freshness.
