Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2025

The 2025 is sourced from vineyards around Woodbourne, Renwick and Rapaura in Marlborough's Wairau Plains and Southern Valleys, encompassing the stony alluvial soils of the valley floor and the older clay-loams of the southern hills. Harvest began on 24 March and continued for three weeks, with fruit picked predominantly at night to preserve freshness. Following gentle pressing and cold settling, fermentation took place primarily in stainless steel using cultured yeasts. Individual vineyard parcels remained on their lees until late May, when the final blend was assembled, before bottling in August. The wine combines ripe yellow peach, pear and nectarine with lime, fresh herbs and white floral aromas. Generous fruit concentration and a rounded, textural palate are balanced by pronounced citrus acidity, with subtle saline and chalky impressions contributing to its long, refreshing finish.
