Elanto Vineyard 'Ironstone' Lieu-Dit Pinot Noir 2024

Elanto Vineyard, a 10.6 hectare high-density vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula, is the work of highly awarded winemaker Sandro Mosele and his dedicated team. Here, across 8 plots on a single south-east facing slope, close plantings, carefully controlled yields and respectful farming practices lend concentration and finesse to the estate's Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Each plot is picked and vinified separately, and by the second crop in 2024 Sandro had already identified two lieux-dits that wre producing more distinctive expressions of their sites; Basalt and Ironstone.

Ironstone is a central plot within the Elanto vineyard, where shallow top-soils produce the lowest yields. The wine is the more muscular and expressive of the two single-vineyard plots, with concentrated ferrous and earth aromas, and a structured palate.
