Château de Plaisance
White WineChâteau de Plaisance Savennieres 2020
Nestled atop the Butte de Chaume in Rochefort-sur-Loire, Plaisance is a biodynamic estate spanning 25 hectares. Of this, 21 hectares are dedicated to Chenin vines, cultivating grapes for the AOC chaume, quart de chaume, and Savennières. The estate's enigmatic owner is Guy Rochais.
The resulting Chenin is nothing short of exquisite, presenting intense layers of quince, honey, hay, and peach. Its impressive concentration manages to be both lush and dry, boasting a rich, fruit-filled texture. The finale is particularly memorable, as the wine's vibrant acidity adds an energetic spark to its enduring finish.
