Drawn from the Powderbark vineyard in Frankland River, planted on gravelly loam over laterite, giving a more structured and detailed expression of mourvèdre.
Fermentation includes a significant portion of whole bunch, with extraction handled to manage tannin while building shape. Élevage takes place over an extended period in large-format oak, allowing the wine to settle without overt oak influence.
Dark cherry, plum and spice lead, with dried herbs and an earthy edge. The palate is mid- to full-weight, with firm, granular tannins and a long, persistent finish.
