White WineWerkstatt Mount Gambier Riesling 2026
Bridget Mac has trained and worked as an artist before making the move to winemaking, and has spent several vintages working with some of the finest winemakers in Australia and France.
A long, cool 2026 vintage in Mount Gambier—marked by increased rainfall—delivered excellent fruit quality and vibrant natural acidity.
The Mount Gambier Riesling has become our award winning, hallmark Kabinett style. Known for its lively acidity, balanced by a carefully managed level of residual sugar.
The wine was slowly fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, Destemmed, light pressing, free run juice, with some pressings. Juice treated oxidatively. It spends 4 months on gross lees. No fining before bottling.
The nose opens with quiet purity—lemon balm and jasmine backed by chalky flint and grapefruit. The palate is driven by racy acidity, anchored by noticeable mid-palate weight. Dominant grapefruit and bright citrus carry through, where balanced residual sugar holds the high drive of acid in perfect balance. Fresh, elegant, and long.
