Vinas Mora Kaamen III 2021 is the most profound expression of Babić in the winery’s range, drawn from two ancient, low-yielding plots in Široke and Jasenovik near Primošten. Some of these bush vines are over a century old, growing directly from bare limestone, and yield less than half a kilogram of fruit per vine. Fermented naturally with 4–5 days of skin contact in open vats, the wine is then aged in a mix of used 500-litre oak barrels and neutral vessels. Bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphur, Kaamen III is intense yet elegant, with deep fruit, wild herbs, and a coastal minerality that speaks clearly of place. It’s structured, age-worthy, and quietly monumental.
