White WineSattlerhof Gamlitz Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Southern Styria's wine-growing region is defined by its steep vineyards, diverse soils, and challenging weather. Sustainable cultivation, meticulous handwork, and selective harvesting result in wines that are both highly aromatic and wonderfully expressive.
The Sattler family has been crafting wine in the village of Gamlitz since 1887. In the 1970s, they became pioneers in the region, bottling high-quality dry white wines under their own name. Today, the sons Alex and Andreas Sattler oversees the estate, managing 35 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines in some of Southern Styria's most renowned vineyards.
This village wine is sourced from steep quartz and limestone slopes at 350-450m altitude. It undergoes native fermentation in stainless steel (with partial malolactic fermentation) and rests on its lees for five months.
