Radikon Ribolla Ribolla Gialla 500mL 2020

Stanko Radikon was one of the pioneers of orange wine in Friuli. Alongside winemakers such as Josko Gravner, he started experimenting with skin contact for white grapes in 1995, a technique employed by his own grandfather.

Now made by Stanko's son Sasa, this outstanding example of Ribolla from Radikon is hazy orange with aromas of quince, fresh orange zest, and apricot. An intense and textural wine, it's a benchmark example of the extremity of skin contact winemaking practised in Friuli.

The wine sees 4 months' skin contact, 3 years in large oak casks, and at least a further 18 months in bottle before release.
