Pivnica Čajkov Elixir 2018

Pivnica Čajkov’s Elixir is a rare bottling, born from serendipity and the unique conditions of its vineyard. A field blend, composed of Pesecká Leánka, Welschriesling, Riesling, and an occasional touch of Pinot Gris, owes its character to the perfect late-autumn weather that allowed for the development of noble rot. Hand-picked grapes, kissed by botrytis, were transformed into a balanced dessert wine, with acidity levels comparable to Aszu from Tokaj.

Golden amber in the glass, the Elixir unfolds an intricate symphony of candied apricots, orange zest, and wildflower honey, laced with savoury, volcanic minerality. The palate is luscious and layered, with succulent sweetness lifted by refreshing acidity, offering notes of ripe stone fruits, spiced tea, and a delicate floral finish. Crafted in tiny quantities, also only 36 bottles came to Australia.
