Peddlers Gin Co Salted Plum Gin Liqueur

Peddlers Gin Co was founded by a trio of expats, inspired by the quality of botanicals in China and intending to add value to often overlooked Chinese ingredients. Over three years, the team travelled around the country to sample vibrant botanicals - from Yunnan to Dongbei - and combined Western traditions with Eastern flavours to create the first Chinese gin. 

Inspired by the Shanghai peddlers of yesteryear, who would sell goods from street to street beneath skyscrapers and major trading ports, Peddlers distills the cultural melting pot of Shanghai and shares it with discerning, adventurous drinkers.

A dry, aged, Chinese version of a sloe gin inspired by smoked sour plum drinks (酸梅汤). The Rare Eastern Gin is infused for three months with salted sour plums (酸梅), mulberries, dates, orange peel and osmanthus. It is then rested in used 500-litre Oloroso sherry casks for 3 months. Dry plum, umeshu, mint, osmanthus, vanilla, cherry. Great as a highball with grapefruit soda or in a sloe gin sour.
