White WineMatías Riccitelli Blanco de la Casa 2024
40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Sémillon and 20% Chardonnay, all of them coming from the coldest places in Mendoza's Valle de Uco. A saline and herbaceous wine, with complex notes of apple and hay, and a long mineral finish. The varieties are vinified separately, at low temperatures with indigenous yeasts, in concrete egg, amphora, and French foudre. 15% of the wine is aged under flor, and portions on skin and on lees.
Matías Riccitelli is an Argentine-born vigneron. After a decade travelling the wine world, he's settled in the heart of Vistalba, in the region of Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, where he's dedicated himself to exploring the potential of the high-elevation terroirs of the Andes foothills. His estate vines encompass 20 hectares across three different vineyards, each at around 1000m elevation. Most of those vineyards were planted at the beginning of the 20th century.
