"Bianch ch'a lus in Piedmontese means “white that shines” just like the color of our wine and our clusters of Erbaluce, which shine when crossed by the sun's rays.

The Erbaluce of Caluso DOCG Biancalus vinifies in a stainless steel tank, featuring a straw-yellow color and a scent reminiscent of a flowery meadow. With a dry, yet fresh flavour, it is balanced by a pleasant acidity."

Erbalù is the winemaking project of Onorino Mottino and his sons Emanuele and Sandro. Their vineyards rest above the town of Moncrivello, on the slopes of the morainic amphitheatre of Ivrea; deposited during the retreat of the Balteo glacier during the last ice age. The soil is an unsorted jumble of clay, sand, gravel and boulders — nutrient poor, well draining, and perfect for the cultivation of the Erbaluce grape, which is centred around Caluso in Piemonte.
