Bott Pince
White WineBott Pince Csontos 2021
From the volcanic foothills of the Tokaj region, Bott Pince’s Csontos vineyard lies on steep, south-facing slopes of rhyolite tuff, its name meaning “bony” in reference to the stony terrain. Crafted from the estate's flagship vineyard, the largest contiguous plot, where new plantings are beginning to flourish, this wine embodies the depth and richness characteristic of Csontos. Farmed organically, this site produces Furmint of remarkable precision. Hand-harvested grapes from old vines were whole-bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels, followed by élevage on fine lees to build breadth without masking terroir. The result is a taut, mineral-driven wine with quince, green apple, and citrus peel, layered with smoke and salt, finishing long and chiselled.
This wine was chosen as the Best Dry White Wine of 2024 by the Hungarian Wine Journalists' Association.
