Oscuro Luna Chardonnay 2022

Nick D'Aloisio's very limited release Chardonnay. Only 900 bottles produced.

Fruit hand-picked on the 10th of March 2022 on the Yarraland Vineyard from Billanook Estate, then whole-bunch pressed. The wine rested in French oak barrels, 20% of which were new, for 12 months before bottling. An abundance of citrus with a sifter element of French oak and a big kick of minerality, think lemon, nectarine, roasted almond and slate.

The D'Aloisio family have been involved in the agricultural heritage of the Yarra Valley since the late 60's and in the mid 90's planted their first vines on their 36 hectare property known as 'Yarraland'. Constantly striving to produce fruit of the highest quality is reflected in the meticulous way the vineyard is managed by the family and third generation winemaker Nick is no different.
