Frederick Stevenson
Amber WineFrederick Stevenson Marsanne Roussanne 2024
Frederick Stevenson makes small batch, minimal intervention wines from grapes grown across South Australia.
Sourced from the higher elevation Vine Vale vineyard in the Barossa Valley region, Marsanne and Roussanne were picked together, then had 2 days of skin contact, with the grapes being pressed to fairly neutral oak. Natural ferment and left on lees for 9 months, settling in tank for a month before bottling.
The 2024 vintage shows spiced poached quinces and pears, lemon peel and curd, with an oily texture, enough acidity, and a touch of grip.
