Bodega Delgado Zuleta
Yellow WineDelgado Zuleta La Goya Manzanilla
Delgado Zuleta was established in the Sherry triangle town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda in 1744. Here, the climate is milder and cooler than inland Jerez de la Frontera, being moderated by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean in the Gulf of Cadiz. For Sherry, the location of the winery is considered to give more to the character of the wine than does the vineyard, because of the long periods of ageing in traditional solera blending systems.
Fino sherries produced in Sanlúcar de Barrameda are more delicate than those of Jerez, earning them a separate designation: Mnzanilla, named after the chamomile note that distinguishes the wines.
The La Goya Manzanilla is aged for 8 years under flor — longer than the usual 3-5 years. Made of 100% Palomino grapes, it's fresh, dry, and saline, with aromas of citrus oil, green olives, and lovage.
