Vinos en Voz Baja 'Erosivo' Single Site Rioja DOCa 2020

The Erosivo comes from the small Viña de Montote plot, in the area of Yasa de las Cuevas, planted in 1954 with an unusual mixture of grapes, 70% of Tinta Velasco (which is confusingly called locally Graciano de Alfaro) and 30% of Calagraño blanco (or Pasera). Here, the maturity of the fruit is more contained, and the aromas have that Mediterranean touch.

En Voz Baja (Low Voice) is a small wine project determined to make extremely high quality wines in La Rioja Baja. Founded by Carlos Mazo Gutiérrez (environmental biologist) and Isabel Ruiz Marín (Graphic designer and photographer). The main work is based on the search for vineyards that show the essence of this subzone. Wine making is very handcrafted, both in the vineyard and in the winery.
