From the eastern foothills of Mendoza, where altitude and dry continental conditions define the growing season, Esperando a los Bárbaros takes a restrained approach to Malbec. The fruit is harvested for balance, then fermented with minimal intervention and aged without overt oak influence to preserve clarity. The 2023 shows black cherry, plum skin and violet, with a fine herbal edge and a thread of graphite running through the palate. The structure is firm and medium-bodied, with measured tannins and a clean, dry finish.
