Daniel Fries Estate Pinot Noir 2022

Daniel —the 9th generation of the Fries family— spent his early years in wine travelling and learning tricks of the trade across Germany, Burgundy and Oregon, garnering great knowledge to craft fine Pinot Noir. He’s returned home to start his eponymous wine brand from his families’ vineyards in far Northern Mosel.
Spätburgunder is a specialty, producing beautifully elegant, bright styles with Campari-like refreshment. It's all about the balance of whole bunches, oak and bright primary fruit. Juicy cherries and a blood orange tang are fantastically framed by gently tannin and laced with baking spices.
