Apsley Gorge Pinot Noir 2025

Tasmania has a growing reputation for premium still wines. Former abalone diver Brian Franklin planted the Apsley Gorge vineyard on the island's cool maritime eastern coast to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the early 1990s. 

Franklin has worked every vintage in Burgundy since 2000, putting his learnings into practice at Apsley Gorge each year.

The 2025 Pinot Noir underwent a cold maceration before fermentation with indigenous yeasts. It was bottled after 14 months in French oak. 

A pure-fruited and savoury expression of Pinot Noir, it shows dark chocolate, red fruits, and undergrowth, with power, length, and texture.
