Le Coste Rosso Gaetano 2021

Grown in a vineyard on tufo soil in Pitigliano, this wine is a blend of approximately half Sangiovese and half Syrah and Merlot. The grapes were fermented for three weeks with their skins, then transferred to a vat to age for six months. Clem and Gianmarco, the winemakers, affectionately refer to this wine as their "picnic wine." This vintage stands out as one of our favorites, with a bouquet of red cherry, earth, and bitter herbs that dance gracefully on the palate. Despite its rich flavors, the wine maintains an airy lightness that is simply delightful.
