Domaine de Kalathas

Rosé Wine

Domaine de Kalathas To Kokkinaki 2021

Domaine de Kalathas was established by Jerome Charles Binda on the Cycladic island of Tinos, Greece, in 2011. The island sits in the middle of the Aegean Sea and is home to the rare sandy granitic soil of the Kalathas Valley, on which Jerome and his eldest son Gabriel create incredibly distinctive wines from their 10 hectare plot of rocky terraces.

A blend of Mavro Potamisi, Koumariano, and Kondoura, sourced from very old bush vines. A genuine field blend, the grapes are picked together, lightly foot-crushed, and then pressed into vats for a year-long elevage. The result is a wine of remarkable clarity, showcasing pure fruit flavours, blood-orange, tarragon, and gravel.
