Wilkie Wines Neighbour's Fruit Pet Nat Rosé 2024
From the producer: Heathcote Shiraz, harvested early to preserve freshness, was gently stomped to draw out a delicate pink hue from the skins then fermented in seasoned French oak barrels, creating mouthwatering aromatics. Unfiltered, unfined, non-disgorged, and made with no added sulphur, each sip reveals a new dimension of flavour and character.
Lucy and Gerard's vineyard is nestled on the east-facing slopes of the Mount Camel Range. This geological feature was formed along a fault line bringing nutrient-rich Cambrian-aged metabasalts to the surface, where they intermingle with seafloor sediments such as chert, jasper, and siltstone. The result is strikingly red, iron-rich soil with exceptional drainage, making this site highly desirable for grape growing.
Pure Pét Nat – clean, fun, and vibrant! This highly effervescent Shiraz Rosé bursts with fine bubbles from the first sip to the last. It's packed with hard candied strawberries and tropical fruits, think Cyclone Icy Poles balanced by savoury, nutty undertones from fermentation in neutral French oak.
