Harvested on March 13th at 14.5° Baumé, the Pinot Noir achieved beautiful generosity and complete maturity.
Fermented with 30% whole bunch for aromatic lift and fine structure, the wine was matured in French oak puncheons, featuring 25% new François Frères. From the original 2,500L pressed, an unforeseen winery disaster left only ~500L, making this release a rare survival of just 672 bottles.

Transparent ruby in the glass. The nose shows red and black cherry, dark chocolate, lifted by blood orange, tarragon, and toasted fennel seed over a distinct limestone minerality. The palate is fresh and lively, with a silken entry, fine-grained oak, and a central drive of acidity. Chalky phenolics and a subtle bitter-orange edge give structure to the long, mineral finish.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0734/6022/0218/files/Werkstatt_Pinot_Noir_2024_Cardwell_Cellars.png?v=1740537586
