This is a Pewsey Vale Riesling clone planted in the early 2000s on well-drained, grey sandy loam dotted with gravel. The high-altitude nature of this site, along with its soil profile, creates a style of Riesling with a strong sense of place.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"preFade fadeIn\"\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan class=\"sqsrte-text-color--custom\"\u003eThe grapes were meticulously hand-picked and whole bunch pressed into a tank where natural fermentation was encouraged to slowly take place. Once halfway through, a portion was gently put into barrel while the other remained fermenting away in tank.
