Description

This is serious Vinho Verde, not the spritzy clear bottles seen across UK and US supermarkets in the mid 2000’s. Initially, tart apple, white peach, nectarine, watercress, mid-palate shows some more exotic spice and herbs. Despite being a light-bodied wine, it exhibits surprising complexity and a pleasing roundness on the front of the palate, which gradually gives way to a mineral-herbal finish. Just a touch of dissolved CO2 brightens the acidity. The wine is made from the Trajadura and Alvarinho grapes.
