Description

Nikolaihof’s Vom Stein is a unique vineyard that is part of the Silberbichel sub-site, located in the southeastern part of the village. The vineyard spans over 5.25 hectares and has a gentle slope facing east on the easternmost edge of the Silberbichel vineyard. With gneiss soils and mica inclusions, there is also a layer of loess and topsoil that ranges from 60-120cm before hitting primary rock. Despite not being a true monopole, Nikolaihof is the sole winery to bottle wines exclusively from this site, resulting in truly exceptional and distinct flavors.

This wine is exceptionally well suited to cellaring, and in Magnum format, will last for many decades to come.
