Chalmers Vineyard at Heathcote is situated on an east-facing slope and boasts the renowned red Cambrian soils that are typical of the region. The vineyard is separated into two areas: the lower part is characterized by deep red clay-loam, while the upper area features a more intricate rocky landscape of ironstone, dolerite, green basalt, and jasper. Chalmers is committed to adhering to organic farming practices whenever feasible and is forthright in their communication when this is not possible.
